Martin Scheinin is a British Academy Global Professor at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights of the University of Oxford and a part-time professor at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. He has served as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, as UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and counterterrorism, and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency. Currently he is working on the capability of international human rights law to respond to the challenges of the digital realm.
