Omololu Akin-Ojo

Omololu Akin-Ojo is director of the East African Institute for Fundamental Research (ICTP-EAIFR), a research center attached to the University of Rwanda. Doctor in Physics from the University of Delaware, in the United States, he has carried out two postdoctoral stays, one at Boston University and the other at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. Before that, he had obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from the University of Ibadan, in Nigeria. His lines of research deal with the physics of condensed matter and its applications for the development and progress of the African continent. He has years of teaching and research experience, most recently as a senior lecturer at the University of Ibadan. He is an associate scientist at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).
