Adam Majó
Adam Majó Garriga is a philologist, journalist and writer. He is currently the director of the Office for Civil and Political Rights of the Generalitat de Catalunya. He holds a Master’s degree in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities from the University of Barcelona, and collaborates on a regular basis with the newspapers Regió7, Llibertat.cat, Vilaweb and Nació Digital. He is the author of the essay Set de mal. Desxifrant el feixisme del segle XXI (Pagès Editors, 2020) in which he portrays how fascist ideology has adapted to new times and new scenarios. He campaigned for thirty years in the Esquerra Independentista (Catalan pro-independence left-wing movements) and was a city councillor of the CUP in Manresa for two terms, between 2007 and 2015. He has also worked as a commissioner for the Centre Històric of Manresa City Council.
