Andrés Antebi
Andrés Antebi is an anthropologist, researcher and archivist specializing in urban anthropology. He has been a part of the Ethnographic Research Group of Public Spaces of the Catalan Institute of Anthropology and the GRECS (Research Group on Social Exclusion and Control) of the University of Barcelona. He is coordinator of the Observatory of Everyday Life (OVQ), a multidisciplinary organization that works at the halfway point between social research and audiovisual creation. As for teaching, he has been a professor of ethnographic techniques at the Pompeu Fabra University, and of Islamic culture and public spaces at the Diputació de Barcelona. He is co-author of several books, including Cops de gent (2005), Entre el poder i la màscara (2008) and Tràgica, roja i gloriosa (2010). He has also been curator of exhibitions such as Ikunde, Barcelona, metròpoli colonial or BCN 92: visita de obras.
