Araya Peralta is an artist and illustrator. Born in Venezuela and raised between Caracas and Madrid, she studied Graphic Design at the Caracas Design Institute and Photography at Lambeth College University in London. Once in Barcelona, she has studied Multimedia Design at the BAU University Design Center, Painting in the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc and also sculpture in glass at the Centre del Vidre Foundation in Barcelona. She has worked for 16 years in the field of visual communication as art director on projects for brands such as Facebook, Instagram, Oculus, Sonar Festival or VICE, among others. Since a very young age, she used to paint with her brush and she has always sought to capture the nature around her. She develops her projects both from a computer in a creative studio and also by painting on large murals. She has exhibited some of her works in art groups in Germany, the Netherlands, Madrid and Barcelona. Peralta is currently working as a freelance in her studio in Barcelona. She authored the illustrations of the 48th IDEES magazine special issue on artificial intelligence.
