Carlos Bajo Erro
Carlos Bajo Erro is a freelance journalist, researcher and consultant. He has a degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Culture and Development in Africa from the Universitat Rovira Virgili. He is a regular contributor to the newspaper El País, as well as other media outlets, about the African digital ecosystem. Bajo Erro also advises NGOs and other African social organizations on communication and digital strategy for their actions. Throughout his career, he has focused on analyzing the use of ICTs for social movements and social change in Africa. He has taught in several postgraduate courses and is the co-author of the book Redes sociales para el cambio en África, awarded with the 2012 Casa África Essay Prize. He is one of the founders of Wiriko (wiriko.org), an association focusing on contemporary African artistic and cultural events, as well as educational and other kinds of activities.
