Daniela Huber

Daniela Huber is Head of the Mediterranean and Middle East Programme at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and Editor of The International Spectator. She is also adjunct professor at Roma Tre University where she teaches a M.A. course on International Politics. Between 2016 and 2019, she has scientifically co-coordinated the European Commission funded Horizon 2020 Project MEDRESET on Euro-Mediterranean relations. Currently, she is involved in the European-Commission funded projects EU-LISTCO, EUMENIA, and ITFLOWS. Her research interests include IR theories and methodologies, international relations and contemporary politics in the Middle East, as well as EU and US foreign policy towards and their role in conflicts in the Middle East. On these issues, she has published two monographs with Palgrave and SUNY; various academic articles with Mediterranean Politics, Middle East Critique, Journal of European Integration, International Peacekeeping, European Foreign Affairs Review and Constellations; and numerous edited books, book chapters, research papers and commentaries. She has also worked for the United Nations and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in the Middle East.
