David Martínez Fiol
David Martínez Fiol is an associate professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is also professor-collaborator at UOC and professor of Geography and History at the Institut de Mollet del Vallès. PhD in History at UAB, his historiographical work focuses on the study of the period of World War I, Catalan revolutionary nationalism and the syndicalism of the Generalitat de Catalunya officials during the Second Republic and the Civil War. He is a member of the UPF’s States, Nations and Sovereignities Research Group (GRENS) as well as the author of numerous articles. He also collaborated in publications such as Historia Social, Historia y Política, Historia Contemporánea, Rubrica Contemporánea, Recerques o Studia Historica. He has also written El catalanisme i la Gran Guerra (1914–1918) o 12.000! Els catalans a la Primera Guerra Mundial.
