David Murillo

David Murillo is full time Lecturer at the Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability from ESADE’s Business School-Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. He currently conducts research at the ESADE’s Institute for Social Innovation in areas like globalization, social innovation, business ethics and critical management studies. He holds a PhD in Sociology by the University of Barcelona (UB), a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration by the University of Barcelona. His research explores the intersection between economic globalization, social change and political impact. He authored the book From Walmart to Al Qaeda. An interdisciplinary approach to globalization (Routledge, 2017) and several academic papers published in journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change; Globalizations, International Politics; International Sociology; International Review of Sociology; Organization; Business Ethics: A European Review; Journal of Business Ethics or Business Research Quarterly.
