Dolores Puga
Dolores Puga is a demographer and researcher with the Ageing Research Group at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Her work focuses on demographic ageing and the living and health conditions of older people. She has directed and participated in numerous projects and research networks on ageing and has received various awards for her contributions. She has served on the Spanish Senate Commission on Demographic Change and on the Depopulation and Ageing working group of the Conference of European Regional Legislative Assemblies. She is also a consultant to the United Nations Latin American Demographic Centre, coordinates the expert committee on ageing of the CSIC General Foundation, and is a member of the expert committee for Spain’s new National Ageing Strategy. She was the scientific curator of the outreach exhibition A vivir que son 100 años and a jury member for the Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences in 2023 and 2024.
