Ismael Peña-López is former General Director of Citizen Participation and Electoral Processes of the Government of Catalonia. From this General Directorate, he works to transform public administration from a new paradigm based on open government and technopolitics. He holds a PhD in Information and Knowledge Society and works in the field of Public Policies for Development, with particular emphasis on ICTs and the digital divide. His research focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to the social sciences. Previously, he was Professor of Law and Political Science at the Open University of Catalonia for 13 years. He has also been a senior researcher at Open Evidence and a Fellow Director of Open Innovation at the Jaume Bofill Foundation.
