Joana Barbany holds a Degree in journalism and a Degree in Business Science. Her professional career has focused on digital communication and strategic organisation consultancy. She has been the councilor of Communication, Information, Citizen Attention, Promotion of the City and Technology and deputy mayor of Economic Promotion, Innovation, Open Government at Sant Cugat’s City Council. On june 2018 she was appointed general director of Digital Society at the Government of Catalonia.
