Jordi Serra-Cobo
Jordi Serra-Cobo holds a PhD in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona, where he is a researcher at Instituto de Investigación de la Biodiversidad. He has been a researcher at École Normale Supérieure and at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas. He created and directed the el Centro de Investigación en Infecciones Víricas from the Balearic Islands. He currently leads a research team in ecoepidemiology and carries out multidisciplinary studies with international partnerships. For more than 28 years, he has worked with teams from the Pasteur Institute in Paris, where he has leaded more than 160 projects. He is currently participating in a study that investigates the reservoirs of dengue and Zika viruses in the Amazon region and in the CONVAT project, which aims to creat a biosensor that will diagnose coronavirus. The results of his research have been published and presented in scientific articles and congresses, both at a national and International level.
