Karlos A. Castilla Juárez
Karlos A. Castilla Juárez holds a BA in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a PhD in Law from the Pompeu Fabra University. He is head of research at the Human Rights Institute of Catalonia, a member of the University of Barcelona’s Public Law Observatory and associate professor in International Human Rights Law at the Pompeu Fabra University. His research activity has focused on international law (international human rights systems and international litigation), constitutional law (conventionality control and access to justice systems), the rights of migrants (immigrant internment, deportation, migration and climate change) and specific human rights-related issues (racism, equality, non-discrimination, intersectionality, freedom of expression and transitional justice).
