Lorena Jaume-Palasí is one of the most outstanding experts on AI in Spain and the Balearic Isands. She is also an expert on law philosophy, and her work focuses on the ethical aspects of digitalisation and authomatisation. She cofounded the NGO AlgorithmWatch and, shortly after, The Ethical Tech Society, which studies the social relevance of authomatic systems. In 2017 she was appointed by the spanish government member of the Wise Committee for AI and Big Data. She is the cofounder of the Dynamic Coalition on Publicness at the Internet Governance Forum at the United Nations (IGF), where she is the director of the german national section secretariat. She is also the leader of projects on Internet governance in Asia and Africa.
