Marc Leprêtre is the head of studies and prospective at the Center for Contemporary Studies and a researcher in sociolinguistics and contemporary history. His areas of expertise are sociolinguistics, minority languages, cultural diversity and the processes of nation and state-building in the former Soviet Union. He has published with Jordi Bañeres Lituània. Dels inicis a la tercera independència (1990) and numerous articles in journals as Papeles del Este, El Contemporani, Lengas, Noves SL and Llengua i Ús.
