Nicolás Berlanga Martínez is an External relations Official at the European External Action Service in Brussels, and he has served as European Union Ambassador to Somalia and Togo. He has also held posts in Cameroon, Vanuatu, Kenya and Angola. At present, he coordinates the dialogues with African partners on migration and on maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea. He also lectures at the University of Jaén in the postgraduate diploma on Cooperation with Africa.
