On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the publication of Jean-François Lyotard’s La condition postmoderne (1979), and of the publication of the Catalan version of this founding work, Àngel Castiñeira reflects on postmodernism. He considers that, from a chronological point of view, it is the last movement that has sought to become a diagnosis of the epoch and has questioned the unfulfilled or failed promises of modernity.

Àngel Castiñeira Fernández és director de la Càtedra de Lideratges i professor del Deptartament de Societat, Política i Sostenibilitat d’ESADE. És Doctor i llicenciat en Filosofia i Ciències de l’Educació per la Universitat de Barcelona, i s’ha especialitzat en filosofia social i política, així com en pensament geopolític, ètica aplicada i valors, canvis de l’entorn social i cultural i governança democràtica. Va ser director del Centre d’Estudis de Temes Contemporanis durant el període 1998-2004. De les seves publicacions, en destaquen Catalunya com a projecte (2001); Societat civil i estat del benestar (2002); Catalunya, reptes ètics (2006) i Immigració a estats plurinacionals: el cas de Catalunya (2007).
