She holds a Degree in Arabic Philology from the University of Barcelona (UB) and \u200b\u200bshe contributes to several media and various radio stations. The strangeness of the feeling of belonging to two different countries, in addition to her desire to bring together both worlds, led her to write her first book,<em> Jo tamb\u00e9 s\u00f3c catalana<\/em> (Columna, 2004). Her works of fiction include her first novel, <em>L\u2019\u00faltim patriarca<\/em> (Planeta, 2008), which received the 2008 Ramon Llull Prize, the Prix Ulysse and was a finalist for the Prix M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e \u00e9tranger. She also authored <em>La cazadora de cuerpos<\/em> (Columna \u2013 Planeta, 2011); <em>La filla estrangera <\/em>(Edicions 62 \u2013 Destino, 2015), awarded with the BBVA Sant Joan Novel Award and the City of Barcelona Award, \u200b\u200band the successful <em>Mare de llet i mel<\/em> (Edicions 62 \u2013 Destino, 2018).
