He has been a part of the Ethnographic Research Group of Public Spaces of the Catalan Institute of Anthropology and the GRECS (Research Group on Social Exclusion and Control) of the University of Barcelona. He is coordinator of the Observatory of Everyday Life (OVQ), a multidisciplinary organization that works at the halfway point between social research and audiovisual creation. As for teaching, he has been a professor of ethnographic techniques at the Pompeu Fabra University, and of Islamic culture and public spaces at the Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona. He is co-author of several books, including <em>Cops de gent <\/em>(2005), <em>Entre el poder i la m\u00e0scara<\/em> (2008) and <em>Tr\u00e0gica, roja i gloriosa<\/em> (2010).
