Eduard Ariza is a lawyer. He is currently member of the board of directors of the Human Rights Institute of Catalonia (IDHC) and delegate in Catalonia for the NGO International Human Rights Foundation. He is a regular contributor to the journal The Citizen<\/em> and the forum of the \u00bfHay Derecho?<\/em> Foundation. He is also a temporary lecturer at the Institut Estela Ib\u00e9rica. As a researcher, he was part of the legal research group of the IHRC in charge of drafting a report on the regression and violation of human rights in Europe, within the framework of the Rome Convention, with special emphasis on the recent violations of the right to freedom of expression in Spain and Catalonia. He holds a degree in Law and Hispanic Philology from the UB and a degree in Psychology from the UOC.
