Anastasia T\u00e9llez is an Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche (Alicante). She holds a PhD from the University of Seville, with the 1999 Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She has carried out teaching and research stays at the University of Berkeley, the University Nova de Lisboa, the University of Chile and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, among others.
