Laura Mart\u00ednez Portell is President of the Catalan Institute of Women (Institut Catal\u00e0 de les Dones – ICD). A graduate in Law from the University of Lleida, she is a lawyer and a mediator. She has completed several specialised courses in the fields of gender violence, the jurisdiction of minors and civil, commercial and family mediation. In the private sector, she has worked as a lawyer specialising in family law and violence against women.
