Maciej Lewenstein is ICREA Professor at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), where he has led the research group on quantum optics theory since 2005. A theoretical physicist, his most outstanding contributions are in the field of quantum physics and the science of the attosecond (one trillionth of a second).
