Nicolas V\u00e9ron cofounded the think tank Bruegel in Brussels in 2002-05. He joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington DC in 2009, and currently serves as a Senior Fellow on equal terms for both organizations. He is also an independent board member of the global derivatives trade repository arm of DTCC.
