He has been professor of Contemporary History of Africa at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, \u200b\u200band has also been a contributor in several newspapers and magazines such as <em>Avui<\/em>, <em>El Peri\u00f3dico<\/em>, <em>El Temps<\/em> or <em>Diari de Barcelona<\/em>. He is the author of several books such as <em>La Via Africana: velles identitats, nous estats<\/em> (1996), <em>El Imperio que nunca existi\u00f3<\/em> (2001) and <em>Europa sense embuts. Carta a un amic afric\u00e0<\/em> (2003). In 2011 he published <em>I ara qu\u00e8?<\/em>, an essay on the political changes in Catalonia. In the field of fiction, he has published L\u2019atles furtiu (1997), <em>\u00c0lia la sublim<\/em> (2000), <em>L&#8217;avi <\/em>(2000), the trilogy <em>1714<\/em> (2002), <em>Les set aromes del m\u00f3n <\/em>(2004) and <em>Inquisitio <\/em>(2006,).
