Judith Simon holds a bachelor in Psychology from the Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin and a PhD in Philosophy from Universit\u00e4t Wien. She is currently professor of Ethics of Information and Technology at Universit\u00e4t Hamburg. She is also an editorial board member in magazines like Philosophy and Technology<\/em> (Springer) and Big Data & Society<\/em> (Sage), and she is member of the german Ethics Committee. She has been a scholar visitor at Stanford University annd guest researcher in Trento, Ljubljana and at Institut de Recerca en Intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia Artificial (CSIC-IIIA) in Barcelona. Her main research areas are epistemological and ethical problems related to IT, communication, computing, computer ethics and ICT user and designer ethics. She was awarded with the Herbert A.
