As a result of the elections, women now head the governments of some of Catalonia&#8217;s biggest cities, including Barcelona. The number of women councillors has also increased everywhere. Despite this positive trend towards pluralism in the exercise of key public roles, the situation is still far from ideal: in 393 municipalities, i.e., four in ten, men account for more than 60% of
