In no instance should war be used to secure profits or expand territories. Neither should the people be held generically responsible for the decisions of their leaders; it is the leaders who must take sole responsibility for the wars. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article forms part of issue 17 of the IDEES magazine, \u201cThe humanities in times of the Internet\u201d, published in print format between January and March 2003.
