IDEES magazine will launch, on Thursday, February 6 at 6:30 pm in Barcelona, its latest IDEES special issue, devoted to reflect on the political and social context in the Western Balkans in a key moment, especially due to the reactivation of the European Union enlargement process and the challenges of illiberal authoritarianism in the region.
The special issue will be available online at revistaidees.cat and also in paper edition, including fourteen contributions by Ivan Vejvoda, Tim Judah, Isabelle Ioannides, Florent Marciacq, Esma Kučukalić or Alejandro Esteso Pérez, among others.
The kick-off event will feature the participation of the two IDEES special issue academic coordinators: Ruth Ferrero-Turrión, Professor of Political Science and European Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, and Ioannis Armakolas, Associate Professor in Comparative Politics of South East Europe at the University of Macedonia. The debate will be moderated by Teresa Turiera-Puigbò, journalist and member of the Culture and Conflict association.
To attend the presentation, you must register in advance. The attending public will be able to take home copies of the paper magazine.
