Francesc Mateu is a doctor by training and has a master’s degree in tropical medicine. He worked for Oxfam Intermón from 1998 to 2019: in Bolivia as a doctor and coordinated projects in Southern Africa. He was director of the same entity in Catalonia between 2004 and 2019, working on internal evaluation tasks and systems. He has also collaborated with laFede.cat and CONGDE (Spanish Coordinator of Non-Governmental Development Organizations), where he was president and vice-president, respectively. He is currently the director of the Fòrum de Síndics.
