Mireia Sallarès is Graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and continued studying cinema at the New School University and also at the Film & Video Arts in New York. She was born in Barcelona in 1973 and works as a freelance documentary producer. She lives between Barcelona, ​​Mexico City and other cities, where she performs her artistic projects. Sallarès uses the video as a tool for anthropological research, as well as a narrative instrument in order to produce stories based on the complexity of the reality. She authored the artistic project Las muertes chiquitas (2006-2016).
